Product Overview:

HWU31 Integrative Supersonic Wave Level Meter is a new-style level switch. The operating principle of supersonic wave level meter is that the high-frequency supersonic pulse launched by the probe of transducer is reflected back when meets the surface of measuring medium, then a part of reflection echo is received by transducer and is transformed to electrical signal. Supersonic pulse travels at the speed of sound wave, and the time interval between launching supersonic pulse and receiving supersonic pulse is in direct proportion to the distance from transducer to the surface of measuring medium.The relation between the distance value S and the sound velocity C and the transmission time T can be expressed by the formula: S=CxT/2. As the launched supersonic pulse has a certain width, there is some overlap between reflected wave which within the small area close to the transducer and transmitting wave. The reflected wave within the small are close to the transducer can not be recognized, so there is no possible to measure the distance value. And this area is called measuring blind area. The size of blind are is related to the style of supersonic wave lever meter.
